God's Word

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the infallible and verbally inspired Word of God, the final authority of faith and life, inerrant in original writings.

God

We believe in the Triune God, who is One yet, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, and co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.

Jesus Christ

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, in order that He might reveal God and offer eternal redemption to humanity. We believe Christ accomplished eternal redemption through His death on the cross being a vicarious substitutionary sacrifice; and redemption is assured by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. We believe Christ ascended to heaven and is now exalted at the right of God, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Intercessor and Advocate.

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead Who convicts the world of sin, righteous and judgment. He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration Who baptizes, indwells and seals the believers at the moment of their belief. We believe the Holy Spirit guides the believers into the truth and conforms them unto the image and likeness of Christ to be a testimony of His redemptive love to unbelievers.

Salvation

We believe that from eternity past God determined in grace to save a great multitude of guilty sinners from every tribe and language and people and nation. God will perfectly accomplish this purpose through the vicarious, substitutionary death and resurrection, and victorious return of Jesus Christ. By dying on the Cross for sinners, Christ alone satisfied God’s justice and reconciled to God all those who believe. In His resurrection, Christ was vindicated by the Father and brought eternal life to all who believe by breaking the power of death and defeating Satan who once had power over us in death. We believe man’s fall into sin rendered him spiritually dead and therefore completely unable to initiate any reconciliation with God and completely unable to contribute anything to his own salvation. However, through the Holy Spirit's sanctifying ministry, unbelievers are influenced to respond to God’s call to salvation with repentance and faith. In repentance they turn away from both their sin and any confidence they might have in their own goodness and in faith they entrust themselves completely to Jesus Christ and what He has done on our behalf.

The Church

We believe the Church is made up of all those who have by faith received the free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ. This universal church is manifested in local gatherings of believers of which Christ is the only Head. We believe that everyone who is part of the universal church should be part of a local church. The church is the corporate dwelling place of God’s Spirit and the ongoing witness to Christ in the world. We believe the church should neither hide from the world nor blend in with the world but should be distinctively engaged in the world as both “salt” and “light”. The church is distinguished by her faithful gospel preaching, her faithful worship of God, her faithful observance of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, her faithful engagement in Christ’s mission, her faithful obedience, and above all, by her love for God and by her members’ love for one another.

Return of Christ

We believe in the personal, glorious, and bodily coming and return of the Lord Jesus Christ when He will exercise His role as righteous Judge and fully establish His millennial and eternal kingdom. We believe in the "Blessed Hope", the personal, imminent, pre-tribulation coming of Christ for His church and the pre-millennial return of Christ to the earth when He will establish His millennial kingdom for Israel. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people at the close of the millennial kingdom. For those who have not been justified, there will be judgment and the eternal punishment of hell. For those who are justified, there will be eternal joy in the presence of God in the eternal kingdom. All sin will be purged away and its wretched effects forever banished. On that day the eager longing of all creation will be realized and the new heaven and earth will proclaim the glory of God who makes all things new.
